People who bought or leased a Toyota or Lexus could get benefits from a class action settlement.

This is the official Court website for the settlement of Meckstroth v. Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. et al. A nationwide settlement has been approved involving certain makes and model years of Toyota and Lexus vehicles. Click here to see which models are included.

To make a claim under the settlement, call Toyota at 1-800-331-4331 or Lexus at 1-800-255-3987.

1. Regardless of the age of your car, your claim is considered timely if [it was] submitted by March 15, 2007.

2. After March 15, 2007, you must assert your claim within 8 years + 120 days after your car's original purchase/lease date.

If you are dissatisfied with Toyota’s/Lexus’s decision about your claim, you have the option to have the decision reviewed by the Third Party Evaluator. The name and address of the Third Party Evaluator is:

Should you seek review of a Toyota/Lexus decision by the Third Party Evaluator, you need to submit your written materials to Mr. Ates within 90 days from the date of the denial letter from Toyota/Lexus. Please see page 14, section 9(d) of the Settlement Agreement for details as to how and when claims decisions by Toyota/Lexus may be reviewed by the Third Party Evaluator.
